Silvercrest79 – A little of This and That

The LYS is having a 40% off sale, so I went in to get some more of this certain Alpaca to finish a scarf for my husband. Well, much to my dismay they were all out of it. Now I will have to look online to see if I can find some to complete it. The only upside is it got me off the hook for finishing that project for now. lolI’m trying to be better at finishing one project before starting another (seeing as how I have an afgan that has been OTN for 10 years!!!). With the exception of this one scarf that I am doing for myself. It is a Small Diamond Brocade pattern and I get insanely bored with it and have to pick something else up. It is really only 4 different rows repeated for a total of 8 for the pattern but it is such a drag. Kind of sux too since it is really pretty. No pain, no gain I guess.

Anyway, $54 and some odd cents later I got some lovely stuff. My oldest DD picked out some sort of chunky (working well on sz 10 ndls) stuff for a scarf. I’m making it alternating stripes in just regular garter stitch. Really cute, I’d have picked the colors for myself. She has good taste…*giggle*

The other stuff I got was lots of “kitchen cotton” (I don’t like that term bcuz I REALLY like the stuff and calling it KC makes it sound so plain). 2 skeins of white, 4 of a buttery yellow color, 4 ecru, 4 ecru/white mix, and one skein that is a light green/ecru/white (I think), anyway I liked it so much I had to have it even though there was only skein of it left. The white and butter will probably go to something for one of my other girls. I also got 4 pairs of needles. I figured they were in investment since I didn’t have those sizes and they were 40% off. hehe

Man this thing is confusing. It says I’m supposed to switch over to gmail but then when I try to it tells me that THIS account I’m posting from does not exist. WTF???
